Standing on charismatic hills, Lisbon rises above the Tagus River. Well known by being one of the few capitals in South Europe that is located by the sea, Lisbon is the city of the seven hills.
However, two hills may be distinguished by their location, on one side, Saint Jorge’s Castle while on the other, the traditional Lapa Quarter, chosen by the Nobility and Gentry as their residential area par excellence.
